Pioneer Day!

I took the girls to the Ogden parade!  We got rained on, but it was still fun!
This guy was pretty cool, Quincy was amazed that he had his horse on top of the trailer.
Later, the kids played on a little splash mat at my parents house, Quincy had so much fun that is all she has talked about since.  We ended up having to go look for one like it, and she loves it!!
My 15 year old niece has gotten really good at painting faces and has done some really cool tigers and stuff, but anyway she painted the kids faces so they were festive!!
Quincy wouldn't let her quit and kept telling her to paint certain places on her face, finally she let her be done.

 Halia crashed fairly early!
The Friday before the 24th I put Halia in the Sunset baby contest, when I was little I was in it, then I never put Quincy in, but I really wanted Halia to.  She was so cute and smiled and giggled the whole time they were judging and ended up with Happiest Baby! Totally fits her!  She got a thing of Gerber puffs, and loves those so she was even happier!!

SpLaSh PaD!!

Wednesday my sisters and I got together to go to the weber river parkway to take some pictures of their kids, I will post those soon, but after we went to the Riverdale Splash Pad. Halia was out when we got there.

Quincy wouldn't really get wet because there were SO many kids, she's not that comfortable with crowds like that, so she wandered over to a non water playground where there were only a few kids and played there. Silly girl.
It was fun to be together we don't do things like this very often, it was nice!
Halia has 2 teeth now and 3 on the way, so she love gumming this apple!!

Sabrina, Quincy, Ezra, and Hadlie gettin some lunch!
Little Elsie slept through all the fun, I think!

Camping!!

We were invited to Chalk Creek again, we are so grateful to have such good friends that invite us to come enjoy their beautiful property with them!  We are also grateful to Marsha for letting us use her trailer.  The girls sleep so good together in Granny's trailer.
Quincy got a bite on her face, we thought it was a mosquito bite at first, but then it oozed a little bit and swelled up, not sure what it was, but it was so sad looking.
Halia enjoyed herself pretty much the whole time.
Quincy and I went for a ride on the four wheeler, apparently I don't make her feel safe because the higher we got and the thicker the trees she started crying for daddy and kept screaming at me to turn around, but then when we got to the lookout she was glad we kept going.

These girls are so cute and play so good together!
Everybody that went on this ride together on Sunday!  We had the cameras propped on the 4 wheeler, so it's not the greatest picture.

We saw a couple of moose when we were on a ride, it was pretty exciting!
I was really excited about this picture!

July 4th

The girls had lots of fun at the parade, especially Quincy, because she could run around and pick up the candy!
In the afternoon we went to my parents for a picnic, the kids had lots of fun together, they played croquet....
and my dad set up a tent for them to play in, they loved it!
My parents are great hosts, they always try to make sure everybody is having fun!

Bryson, Kami, Tony, and I all had fun watching the kids play and visiting with mom and dad!
We did our own little fireworks, Halia wasn't quite sure about them, but she loved the attention from grandma and grandpa!

On this day....

6 years ago, Tony proposed!  It was so exciting, and I was the happiest girl in the world.  Now the day before I was not so happy....we went camping and on the way there Tony decided to tell me that 2006 was not going to be our year, he just could not afford a ring.  So I was pretty devastated.  Then while we were camping he kept asking if I wanted to go on a hike, I kept saying no thank you.  Finally we went on a hike, we were looking at the view  and he bent down to get in the backpack and I asked him for some water and when he didn't hand it to me, I turned to see what in the world he was doing and there he was kneeling on one knee with the ring I had really wanted, that he said he didn't get (in the words of Quincy, "stinker pot"!), and he sweetly asked me to marry him!  Unfortunately I didn't have a camera, I think it had just broken a few weeks before, anyway so these pictures were taken the next day, courtesy of Natalie Scothern, who also by the way was the first one to notice the shiny new thing on my finger! So thanks Nat, I am so happy to have these!!!

 A closer look!!
