Deer Hunt

 Quincy went on her first deer hunt with dad this morning, she was so excited she woke up at 4am and I told her she still had an hour, she was fine to lay in bed and wait.  They were both really excited with what they got!!!

GrAnD TeToN National Park and YeLLoWsToNe!!

A couple weekends ago we went on a little vacation.  We all needed it major, after a hectic peach season.  Both the girls first time in Wyoming!  We had to stop to change Halia's diaper, so we took a picture by the sign!

 

 

We did some hiking in the Grand Tetons, so beautiful, Tony and I have never been there and we LOVED it, this trip we enjoyed the Tetons more than Yellowstone.

 

 

 

 We hiked to Phelps Lake lookout, so pretty, but it was really smoky so it is probably a lot prettier with clear air! Quincy did a good job, she got a cold the day before so she was pretty tired by the time we got to the top, but she loved going down hill!

 

Halia was soooo sleepy, it was really funny, she kept hitting Tony in the head.  Quincy laid on the rock listening to the water and we thought she was going to fall asleep.

We stayed at an AWESOME lodge, in Teton Village. We paid for a room with 2 queens and ended up in a 2 bed, 3 bath suite with a kitchenette.  The girls room was in a loft up a spiral staircase, Quincy was in heaven and Halia loved how fast she could scoot on the super shiny wood floors.  Their favorite part by far was the pool, they both LOVE swimming, so that is what we did every night.

Heading into Yellowstone, we had to stop for a diaper change again, so we all got out to see the view!



 

We saw some familiar faces at Old Faithful! Tony's brother Justin was up there with his family, so we met up for a bit!



 

We saw lots and lots of wildlife! Tony was really excited, the whole reason he wanted to go was to see if we could hear some elk bugling.  We did, we saw and heard tons of elk, he is pretty proud of Quincy's elk impression!!  Most of the animals we saw were in Grand Teton National Park.

 We stopped and listened to the elk until almost dark, then we moved to a different spot and listened till the girls fell asleep.

  



We saw this same moose like 6 times.

 

 



The next morning we got up at 5 and went and waited to see if we could see the elk come in and we saw a lot, until crazy people started coming from everywhere and scared them off. :{ 

On the way back to The Big House as Quincy called it, we saw a bear! Quincy was beyond excited!

 Then we went on the tram, Quincy had been waiting to ride "the bus in the sky" the whole time. It was so smoky though we couldn't see anything.  We had a blast and Quincy cried when we pulled in the driveway, but Halia breathed a loud sigh of relief!!!

 Quincy and her cousin Cameron are in dance together, first class was a success, so far both love it!

O how I love this HaPpy hApPy little lady!!!!

I feel like a lot has been about Quincy lately, so this is all about Halia.  She has 6 teeth now, and is in to everything!!  She is NOT crawling or walking, she is a scooter.  She can get around super fast by scooting on her bum, it is quite the thing to see!   She will only stand if it is her idea, yes, we have another child who only does things that is her idea, big suprise:) She is saying a few things, daddy, uh-oh, nah for no and every great while a mom.  We just cannot get enough of this sweet little gal!!

HAPPY 30TH BIRTHDAY TONY!!!!!

I wanted to throw a big suprise bash, but he found out cause he was planning a trip for the same time, the trip won, so if you have his number please wish him a happy 30th today!!

 

*AUGUST*

We started the month out with girls taking a tiny ride on Cameron's horse Penny.

She was so sweet to help them and make Quincy feel more comfortable.

 Then we started into peaches...

 Halia on her 1st birthday, that year flew by!!!

 Quincy  on her special day!! Tony sent her flowers with a very special card, she LOVED it! She kept looking at them both and saying thank you daddy!

 I got flowers too! I had a little peach meltdown, so Tony was so sweet to do this!

We went to the temple!! Quincy loved it and has been twice, every time we drive by she says, "There is my temple I am going inside someday!" So precious!

So our neighbors were sooooo nice to help Quincy do the Peewee lead class. They let her use their awesome hotdog costume, and one of their lambs, George, and helped her learn to lead.  Even though when it came down to it she got nervous and shutdown.  She was still so cute and gave the announcer a gummie hotdog! She got a blue ribbon and $3, she was so excited! Also....

 She got 1st place in the Most Original category. She loves her trophy plaque!

 Then the next day was full of more fair fun, and family!!

 

 This is after a long day at the orchard, lets just say I think our tub is glad it's over, and we CAN wait for next year!
