A couple weekends ago we decided we needed to head out for the day. Quincy has been asking to go to the beach since May, so we decided to go. We like going in the evening when everyone else is packing up. So we left after swim lessons in the morning and went to Minnetonka Cave. We had to wait an hour and half, so the girls got to explore the waiting area and listen to a group of YW play girls camp games...fun. :}
Finally after our ears hurt and our heads ached, it was our turn and guess what group we were in...the YW camp group, YAY!! (sarcasm) It did turn out to be ok though, because we were also LDS the tour guide asked if it was ok to do a more spiritual tour. Of course it was, and it was seriously awesome! I never thought I would say that some of my most spiritual experiences were on a cave tour! In the room with the most acoustics we all sang, "The Spirit of God"...goosebumps.
Halia was hilarious the whole time! She was really bored and was trying to entertain herself, but managed to entertain us some too!
Quincy loved being in the mountain's belly, she did so amazing! she never cried or complained at all, her eyes look teary here, I don't know why, she was laughing a lot of the time, because of the shapes the rocks make.
The rocks grow about an inch every 100 years, so this one took approx. 4,200 years to get this tall!!
Tony getting ready to run the stairway to heaven.
What a view when you come back out!
Off to the beach! Perfect timing everyone was leaving, there was only one other group somewhat close by. Both girls so happy to be there and having fun!
Quincy had tons of fun collecting shells and Halia is just always goofy!
When Halia was ready to leave she piled all our shoes by the edge of the water and yelled, "SHOES!".
LOVE.
On our way home!! :)
